Subject: Updates to TomsGoodFile.com

Dear fans of TomsGoodFiles.com,

If you've only recently been added to this mailing list (i.e., since July 5th), you should review the last "Update" newsletter that I sent out. Much of what I say here will assume you've read that. Here's the link for it:
http://www.tomsgoodfiles.com/to-fans/L20120705a.htm

One thing I said there was that since the Best of HealthLine audio library page was frozen at February 2009, I've "fast-tracked" a few audio clips to it. I've now realized that I could have helped you better than merely saying "look for dates on the clips that are more recent than Feb. 2009". I could have given you this list of direct links to each heading that has one or more of these fast-tracked clips under it:

BTW, don't assume that the word after the "#" character is the sole topic covered. Sometimes there are mulitple good topics brought up under one heading.

And here are the few "BUZZes" created so far (see the yellow bumble bee at each one): http://www.tomsgoodfiles.com/best-of-healthline.htm#autism (This was already listed above.)

There's a bit of good news concerning the financial support of TGF. Through September and October in response to a special fundraising campaign, it gradually increased from about 1% (where it's been stuck for over a year) to about 10%. This is very good. It's not at the 100% level I had reasonably hoped for and anticipated, but it's at least something substantial. So this does, in a small way, enable me to proceed slightly forward on the content and features of TGF! But it obviously won't be nearly as fast as if support was full.

I can make no promises about the order of things I will work on. Obviously, the BoH library is the biggest visible task. But initially I'm proceeding to focus on something that could be a bit more strategic: I've started compiling the PDFs for the QRA Product Name Cross-reference literature library and tools. This is something that can be of great help to both practitioners and patients (especially practitioners). While it's a big project, it is relatively finite and I should get it largely finished in a matter of weeks. You can check the progress by simply visiting that page periodically. I'll put it out there line by line as I compile and code the items, while I'm going down the list alphabetically. (I'm saying I will not hide the work while in progress, then let all of it be seen suddenly and only when finished.) Of course even after I finish it, new products, new literature and more name changes occuring over time will necessitate further updating, as I am able. Sometimes even prior entries will be updated if an old (but a goodie) PDF version turns up somewhere. (Remember, this is a "historical" literature library.)

For now, you can already see that I've finished the work (as much as I can) on the "A"s, and am tackling the "B"s. Check it out here:
http://www.tomsgoodfiles.com/qra-articles-and-product-literature.php#xref
This is going to be a REALLY nifty tool to some! Not only can you download any of the various PDFs that have been circulating over time about any particular QRA product, but if you are a supporter of TGF, you can log in and hover your mouse over the "Label" column and see a floating pop-up of the product label itself! (Everyone can see the first one there, Adaptogen.) Also, for quickly jumping down the page, there's a menu of shortcuts in the left margin under the site navigation buttons that lets you jump down to "A", "B", etc. (A real time-saver from scrolling, if you're looking up a lot of things.) The menu has to disappear if you sort the chart on columns other than the first.

The QRA Practitioner page has undergone some internal overhaul: http://www.tomsgoodfiles.com/qra-practitioners.unofficial-list.php
You'll notice that at present most of the links are "greyed out", i.e., not clickable. Without getting into details of why many are grey, it's possible for most of you to override the "grey" making them clickable again, but only at your location. You simply log in using the free login ID info I gave each of you back on July 5th. I told you then that the IDs would be good for only 10 days. But since then I've extended it indefinitely. See the letter where I describe the Login info:
http://www.tomsgoodfiles.com/to-fans/L20120705b.htm
For those of you added to the list since then, you need to supply Login info as per the instructions under the Toxicity video here: http://www.tomsgoodfiles.com/free-offer1.htm

In general, as far as Login info is concerned, there are several levels of accessibility. Free access gives you some things, supporters get more access, and some QRA practitioners get even further access.

Another feature, small but valuable to some, is that every QRA page at TGF now has links to both QRA main sites, HealthLine and PRL. Look for them (they are small) in the right margin and the area is labelled "QRA Links". This is especially nice as now we have reason to visit HealthLine's website frequently. The radio show streams 24/7 at their site! Yay!! And so now we can hear any recent HealthLine show we've missed, right?? YES!

And so this makes the Best of HealthLine audio library at TGF obsolete, right?? NO!! HealthLine's archive goes only a month back. And more importantly all the shows there are UNEDITED, therefore they include all the repetitious info that has to be there on a live radio show. (And "repetition" also refers to much freshly presented info that's already been given in earlier clips that are already on TGF.) So we still need the library at TGF to ZERO IN on just the topics we want to learn about at the moment! Every week, there are new items I find worth adding. (Now the backlog is huge; over 3 1/2 years!) So catch the current show at HealthLine's site at any time after the show airs up until the next show, catch prior recent shows there, then (later on after enough time passes AND enough financial support comes in) get the most distilled cream of the crop from the Best of HealthLine audio library!

So, thanks to the small handful of QRA-enthusiastic supporters, I can begin this massive work now! But (as I said), the monthly support is still at only 10% or less of what it needs to be. So please consider whether you ought to be one of those people who help finance this great mission. (Support subscriptions start as low as $5.46 per month, or $10 per month for QRA practitioners.)

And speaking of "mission", with the help of one of my supporters, we now have a statement that reflects what TGF is doing and is all about. I'm not sure how to label it (whether it's a "mission statement", "purpose statement" or whatever) or how to incorporate its text into the site itself, but here it is:

TomsGoodFiles.com is the most powerful international resource that is changing global health through cutting-edge information and networking!
Yes, that describes what it IS doing and what it WILL BE doing as the months and years roll on! Do you like it? I sure do. And I've had the concept QRA/ERT tested and it tests VERY strong!

That's about it for now. And as before, I say that if you have ideas, questions or comments about the site, I'm open to listening.

Yes, we're marching forward, and in God's providence, great world health will prevail!

To excellent health and prosperity,
Tom Cook
