QRA/Health > Best of HealthLine > All of HealthLine

Take the IPod plunge!

Download the whole enchilada! These are zip files, each containing many dozens of the little MP3 files from the Best of HealthLine audio library. Simply unzip all the files to a folder of your choosing, then migrate them into your IPod or other MP3 player. One lady I know used them to enjoy the time during her 45 minute commute to work! If you listen to all these, you will learn many amazing things that most doctors don't presently know!

Oooo... that's 29 hours; a lot to hear! Yes, but it's been carefully distilled from over 200 hours of radio shows! You get the VERY BEST of HealthLine! And a great headstart toward great health!

Note: There are 2 ways to manage your listening of these:

1. You can download these zip files, unpack them into a folder you create on your system, and load them into your MP3 player. Because of the file naming convention, the files will sort in date order. This should keep it interesting for you, kind of like the randomizing feature of some players. This is the most popular way. However, if you're like me, you'll prefer the 2nd choice.
2. You start by doing choice number 1. Then download this tiny special batch file contained in a zip file, saving it to the same folder as the MP3 files. Unzip the batch file (it has an extension of ".bat".) In Windows Explorer (or equivalent), run the batch file. It will copy each file to a new file whose name begins with the numbers 0001, 0002, etc. These will be numbered in the SAME order as they appear in the HealthLine Library (which is roughly by topic). Move the newly created files to another folder, then to your MP3 player. You'll hear all the clips about Acid Reflux first, then all about Acne, etc. This is how I prefer to listen to them. Now you can, too. Enjoy!

(With the #2 method, there will be a few duplicates, due to some files appearing under more than one heading.)

You may notice that the files (as revealed in the name of the last HL zip file) end with "2009-02-28". There ARE some additional files out in the library that are not in these zip files. I'm way behind in processing HealthLine shows, but I've processed just a few of the critical ones without waiting for my backlog to catch up. Apart from a few that I included in the last zipfile, you can find these on the HealthLine page itself by simply doing a "find" (usually "ctrl-f") for "2009-02", "2009-03", etc. I even have some as recent as "2010-07", even though there are some months that have nothing.

While I greatly encourage everyone to download and hear these clips, I reserve the right to re-edit and/or rename them at any time. I assure you that anything I do along those lines will be for the overall betterment of the library. If you want to create links on your own website to these audio clips, please write to me for special instructions that will enhance the web experience for everyone.
